Symphony No. 9 & Te Deum: Gilbert Levine / WDR Symphony Orchestra & Chorus

This DVD is certainly a surprise. I often wonder why recordings are released in the USA after being released in Europe and Japan. But here is a case that may explain it. This DVD was released by a PBS (public broadcasting) station in the US back in 2007. It was probably given out during fundraisers for the PBS stations. But the broadcast, entitled, Music of Majestic Spirit was never properly promoted and I have never known of this US broadcast until nine years had passed!

While I knew of the European broadcast and the Bruckner Archive contains audio and video copies of the WDR broadcasts, I never knew of the domestic broadcast and certainly nothing about a DVD! So much for US media's promotion of Bruckner...

Well, I discovered a copy of the DVD and I will now offer it to you. This is a direct clone so the quality of your copy will be identical to mine. All covers and labels have been carefully copied. (USA - NTSC video formatting - will pay on any computer)
