If you have been reading my recent newsletters, you have read about my plans to donate the Bruckner Archive the Osterrischische Mediathek (The Austrian National Media Library) in Vienna. The process has already begun and several thousand recordings have already been donated. The largest batch went last year when I sent them a 5TB external hard drive with thousands of digitized recordings. Over the past few months, monthly supplements have been transferred via the Internet. But many of the commercial CDs have not been digitized and it appears that a huge shipment of physical discs (CD / DVD / Blu-Ray) will have to be made. This is where I could use your help. In my preparation for this transfer, I have been sorting through the archive and identifying duplicate recordings. Thanks to all the reissues and production of box sets over the years, there is a huge amount of duplicates that do not need to be shipped overseas. Those are now being sold off at bargain prices! Simply go to the Collectibles and Bargains Section of my webstore and browse through the single CDs, DVDs and Blu-Ray discs and the large collection of box sets - all at bargain prices. Fill in some gaps in your collection, discover a new performance, but do so knowing that you are helping me to raise the funds it will take to make this important donation possible. I am really hoping that my US readers will help out here. For my overseas readers, the bargains quicky go away when you add in international postage. Thanks for your help! John Berky |
