He was born on October 14, 1943 in Wels (Upper Austria). After attending teacher training college in Linz, he received his first lessons in organ and composition. Between 1963 and 1968, he studied music education, organ and composition at the Mozarteum Academy in Salzburg. He received diplomas in 1967 and 1968. Further studies in musicology took place at the University of Innsbruck. The symphony was performed at St. Florian in 2017 by the Bruckner Orchestra Linz and the Hard-Chor. It was broadcast on ORF in 2024. |
