Vladimir Horowitz playing Bruckner

Vladimir Horowitz playing Bruckner
When Vladimir Horowith visited Chaiago, ne was interviewed by Thomas Willis. During his interview, Horowitz recollects that he used to play many symphonic works transcribed for piano four-hands - often with Sergei Rachmaninoff. In the interview, he specifically mentions Bruckner. He also notes that it was through these transcriptions that they were able to hear these compositions, since orchestral performances were rare.
