My colleague, Gilles Houle in Canada has a fascination with Bruckner and the conductor, Ferdinand Loewe. In his listing and his graphic representation of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra's performance history of Bruckner, he shows that the conductor and Bruckner disciple has been mis-represented solely for his repudiated edition of the Ninth Symphony and is not remembered for the years of performances of Bruckner's music that he presented as music director of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.
