Bruckner Performances by the Detroit Symphony (1950-1980) - A History

The following essay was offered to me by Alonso del Arte. He writes,"It's not complete, I have to admit. There is evidence that the DSO participated in a performance of Bruckner's Te Deum in 1969, 1970 or 1971. But I can't find the program for that. Maybe someone else who reads this history can shed some light on this. Also, even though I don't have program books for 1950 to 1957 or for 1959, it is a safe bet that there were no Bruckner performances in those years because there were no performances of the Fourth or the Seventh in the period 1928 to 1957."
