The Bruckner CookieWhen the Bruckner Tour of Austria visited Ansfelden and the Bruckner Birth House Museum, we were greeted by several local dignitaries. They were the Director of the Upper Austrian Museums, the Head of the Ansfelden Brucknerbund, and Renate Heitz, the Deputy Mayor of Ansfelden. In addition to presenting John Berky with a commemorative plate depicting scenes of Ansfelden, she gave every member of the tour a home-baked ginger bread cookie! But it wasn't just a regular cookie, it was a Bruckner cookie with the silhouette of Bruckner on top. It seems that Ms. Heitz's nephew owns a 3-D printer and they devised and produced a Bruckner cookie cutter!
UPDATE: The cookie cutters (small and large) have now been presented to the Bruckner Archive.
According to strict procedures involving acquisitions to the Bruckner Archive, I took a good picture of the cookie and then ate it! The two cookie cutters safely stored.
