Jakob Hruša / Bamberg Symphony / Bruckner 4 Project wins major recording award
We have just received great news: we have won the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) 2022 in the category "Symphonic Music"! The award is for our recording of all three versions of Anton Bruckner's 4th Symphony conducted by our Principal Conductor Jakub Hruša Conductor, accompanied by the research of Ben Korstvedt! In our citation, the jury writes: "Listeners are very well served by these recordings, and the most rewarding of them is undoubtedly the 1874 version, which has never been heard in a fresher and more colorful, imaginative and richly flowered [?] performance than in this one under Jakub Hruša. The sound of the recording is also exceptional. A special honor, we are very proud and happy and will certainly raise a toast to it! |
