Jackie Orzel is a french horn player with the Santa Cruz Symphony Orchestra and instrument manager and arranger for the Youth Orchestra Salinas. He recently sent me this short and interesting take on the main theme of Bruckner's Symphony No. 4. In an e-mail to me, He wrote,
It is a little jazz piece based on Bruckner 4. It occurred to me many years ago that if you remove the third 4 bar phrase that you have a perfect 12 Bar Blues progression. my social distance Community College jazz band absolutely loves it and we are performing it at our next social distance concert!
