Paul Hawkshaw's long-awaited Critical Report on the Symphony No. 8 has just been published in Austria. Arrangements are presently under way to make this publication and other MWV publications (and scores) available though this website. The genesis of the Symphony No. 8 is a long and torturous saga and it has taken Professor Hawkshaw several years to sift through the details of just how this symphony came into being. From what can be gleaned from Prof. Hawkshaw's oral presentations given during his research, it is a fascinating story.
