Bruckner 7th used in video game "Call of Duty"
While your son or grandson is busy gunning down generic enemy soldiers, he may be inadvertently absorbing the music of Anton Bruckner. The keen ear of Eero Palviainen in Finland overheard the music from the Adagio from Bruckner's 7th while his son was playing the video game, "Call of Duty." It is in the version subtitled, "United Offensive." The game is set chiefly in Bastogne, Belgium during the Battle of the Bulge.
So, someday, Eero's son will be listening to the Helsinki Philharmonic performing the Bruckner 7th and suddenly during the second movement, he will have this strong sense of having heard this music once before but he will be completely unable to figure out where...
