Crime & Punishment - 1923 Silent Film - 2nd Symphony as Audio Track!

Like the film, "Der Golem" listed below, this 1921 film directed by Robert Wiene is a silent film where a distributor has chosen a semi-straight run though of Bruckner's Symphony No. 2 as a musical accompaniment. The music stops and repeats frequently so this is not an easy listening experience for a Brucknerian, but if it gets some uninitiated viewers to hear Bruckner, then I am all for it! The performance is the Alfred Scholz / South German Philharmonic recording that was initially produced for this type of production work.
