March, 2019: Symphony No. 3 / Carl Buente / Berlin Symphony Orchestra / Archive recording

The conductor Carl A. Buente (1925-2018) was kind enough to supply the Bruckner Archive with recordings and a list of Bruckner performances he gave during his long career as conductor of the Berlin Symphony Orchestra. The .pdf file below documents his work. This month, I will be offering Maestro Buente's performance of the Symphony No. 3 (in the Oeser Edition). It was performed with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra on September 5, 1957. Unfortunately, only the last three movements survive.
